Blackpool Football Club's elevation to the Premier League is worth "tens of millions" of pounds to the resort, officials believe.
Some of football's biggest names will visit the town next season after the Seasiders' 3-2 victory over Cardiff.
It will be the Seasiders' first season in the top flight since 1971 and is said to be worth £90m to the club.
But the benefits to the resort itself are "unthinkable", said Helen France, Blackpool Council's tourism chief.
Despite having one of the lowest average attendances in the Championship, Blackpool took more than 35,000 fans to Wembley for the play-off final.
Tourism and regeneration chiefs are already planning how to capitalise on the promotion and new found profile that Premier League football will bring.
Mrs France, the council's executive director of tourism, said: "We're so excited about this - it's unthinkable the benefits this could bring to Blackpool.
