| Coventry City Guide
Coventry is a city with many years of history. Coventry has plenty to offer the visiting tourist. Located in the heart of Warwickshire, which is well-known as Shakespeare's county, there are easy transport links to historic Warwick Rugby and Stratford-upon-Avon.
Coventry has many places of interest to the visitor. Coventry is renowned as a religious centre with many important churches within its locale. If you explore further you will find that there are many beautiful gardens. Similarly, a number of museums are also on hand to enable visitors to explore the Coventry’s diverse history.
The historians among you will appreciate the medieval city wall. Even now two of the twelve original gates are still standing. Sections of the city wall itself also survived. Lady Herbert's Garden is also open to visit.
Coventry Canal Basin is another attraction. Restored from the original 19th century wharf, this remains a popular tourist attraction, complimented by main Coventry shops and the impressive canal-side ‘art trail'.
